House Painting DIY

 Are you looking at undertaking any paint job yourself? Are you serious that it can be handled better by yourself then a professional? Lets think about this a little deeper.
Painting does not seem to be one of the more difficult home improvement jobs one shall do themselves. Ahhhh but the truth is that the quality of the work can make or break the true professionalism of a job. When you watch a nice easy HGTV show and they begin by painting the room with a big swatch right smack in the middle of the wall, do you really think the end result looks like that? No way do you EVER begin in the middle of the wall. And very seldom, with a major color chang,e do you end up with a "quick" one coat change in color coverage. The average home owner does a bedroom paint color change over a weekend NOT a 30 minute quick time frame. And seldom is the end result one that truly meets with the expectations of an honest homeowner.
A small suggestion. Painting is probably one of the least expensive changes a homeowner can make and have it done professionally to their honest expectations. Knowing that in advance, why is it one so often undertaken by a homeowner as a cost saver, when they remodel, renovate or change the look of their home. For every person that does it correct there are three or four that are disappointed with the end result. Seriously for a few dollars more let a pro come in and get the job done in a few hours. Please value your own time, your family time, your time away from work and let a professional handle your painting chores. When all is said and done YOU will be much happier and the few dollars in difference will be forgotten the first time a friend tells you how nice your home now looks. Professional painting DOES pay off.
