Question: Is it customary to tip a professional painting service?
Top Answer (46% of 259 votes): No.

Answer: No
Explanation: Tipping for professional painting services is not typically customary or expected in the same way it might be for services like dining at a restaurant or receiving personal care services. However, tipping is ultimately a personal decision and may depend on factors such as the quality of the service provided, the size and complexity of the project, and the level of satisfaction with the outcome. If you feel that the painters went above and beyond in their work, showed exceptional professionalism, or completed the project to your utmost satisfaction, you may choose to express your appreciation with a tip or another form of acknowledgment, such as a positive review or referral. Ultimately, while tipping is not expected in the painting industry, expressing gratitude for outstanding service can be a meaningful gesture appreciated by the painters. If you're unsure whether tipping is appropriate in your situation, you can always ask the painting contractor or company directly for guidance.

Answer: In most cases
Explanation: Tipping for professional painting services is not strictly required, but it can be a gesture of appreciation for a job well done. In many cases, tipping is considered customary in the service industry to recognize and reward good service. The decision to tip a painting service is ultimately at your discretion. If you are satisfied with the quality of work and the level of service provided by the painting professionals, you may choose to tip. Keep in mind that tipping is optional, and if you have concerns or issues with the service, it's recommended to address them with the service provider directly.

Planet perfect painting maintenance and repair
Answer: In some cases
Explanation: Most customers do not tip the painter and if we do get a tip, it's because we fixed something while we were there that saved them calling another trade in to do it for them, maybe putting the new door knob they bought on the door after we painted it for example, because now they don't have to pay for a locksmith to come do it. Some people just want to tip as a "thank you" for a job well done (like managing to paint a room and not wake the baby while we were there), and several customers have invited us over and we have grilled out as a thank you instead of a cash tip. Everyone is different and tips are never expected, though a good cookout is never turned down either!

Jefferson painting
Answer: In some cases
Explanation: Sometimes being a painter, we gain access to certain areas in which never get accessed, it is good practice to "go the extra mile" and change light bulbs up high, add a nail or screw to a loose components while we are in them areas. In many other cases it is a "good deed" to paint an extra item that was not intended nor bidded just because it just does not look completed without the item painted. Sometimes we feal compelled to a 100% and go that "extra mile" just because we feal it means alot not only to us, but mainly the quality of job we do. Typically this applies to many homeowners as commercial owners usually have these extra's covered by other trades. Regardless of recieving a tip(rather it be $20 or a free lunch)or not, these are the small things that not only stand out, but show quality workmanship and business owners who care.
