Answer: Most of the time Explanation: Painters who specialize in painting home interiors often also have the expertise and equipment to paint home exteriors. While there are some differences in the techniques and materials used for interior and exterior painting, many painting contractors offer both interior and exterior painting services to meet the needs of their clients comprehensively.
Painters who paint home exteriors typically have experience working with exterior-grade paints and coatings designed to withstand outdoor elements such as sunlight, moisture, and temperature fluctuations. They may also have specialized equipment such as ladders, scaffolding, and spray machines to effectively paint larger exterior surfaces.
Overall, painting contractors who offer both interior and exterior painting services can provide homeowners with a convenient and comprehensive solution for enhancing the appearance and protection of their homes, both inside and out. |

Answer: Some of the time Explanation: It depends on the painter and the painting company. Some painters, similar to some of our painting subcontractors, like to specialize in either interiors or exteriors because they believe they have more talent for one or the other.
We match painters that like exteriors with exteriors as often as possible as they are often more skilled at one of the jobs and therefore enjoy the job more. |

Answer: Most of the time Explanation: Most painters will paint both interior and exterior. Personally, I've never met a painter who didn't paint both, but I do know painters who prefer interior over exterior, or exterior over interior. I've known painters over the years that just didn't want to climb anymore (usually as they got older) who no longer wanted to handle the heavy ladders necessary for tall exteriors, but were fine on a stepladder with a one-story house. Other times, new and young painters just don't have the resources yet, to buy the ladders, the sprayers, etc., that it really takes to properly advertise that they do exteriors. If you have to rent everything to perform the job, you quickly price yourself out of the market. Renting a sprayer and a couple of extension ladders can run you about $150 a day and up, depending on your market, and could run you close to $1,000 per week, quickly making them not worth it to bid and try to actually complete. I don't think it's ability, but more of a preference or a necessity until they are a bit more established, that would make a painter do one but not the other. Personally, since weather is always a factor, when we have an interior in the summer when it's terribly hot and it's been raining for a week, we love having an interior job to turn to! |
